We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Ars Technica readers know how to respond to a call to action.
About this time last week, I was writing that the $7,000 we had raised in this year’s charity drive sweepstakes was great in its own right but far short of the $28,000 Ars readers donated through the contest in 2012. Today, I’m happy to report that our 2013 totals are looking much more robust, with 220 readers donating over $17,265 so far.
I continue to hold out hope that a final push of donations can help us set a new donation record this year, as we have every year since starting the annual Ars charity drive in 2007. I also want as many readers as possible to get a chance to win one of over 160 prizes we’re giving to this year’s donators. With only 220 entrants so far, your chances of getting a prize are still pretty darn good.
