SkyDrive finally gets rechristened as “OneDrive”

Last year, Microsoft agreed to rename its SkyDrive cloud storage service after a British court ruled against the company in a trademark dispute with TV broadcaster BSkyB. Today, Microsoft revealed  the new name: OneDrive.

With the tagline “One place for everything in your life,” the new name emphasizes that OneDrive is positioned as the singular solution for storing your photos, videos, documents, and everything else that you care about, accessing them from any device you own.

The OneDrive-branded software and Web fron-end will be “coming soon.”
